General Informations
StrigiApplet is a KDE client for Strigi. Since it's a kicker applet, it is integrated into the hole window manager.
To perform searches just type your text into the dedicated box shown into kicker and press enter. Results will be displayed into a konqueror window.
You can configure any aspect of the Strigi daemon from the kicker applet or from the konqueror view.
Actually StrigiApplet can be used only with KDE 3.x branch.
How to Get StrigiApplet
You can obtain StrigiApplet in two different ways:
- from distribution binary packages
- building from source
Install StrigiApplet from distribution binary packages
StrigiApplet has been packaged by different Gnu/Linux distributions like debian, ubuntu, kubuntu and gentoo.
Just use your distribution package manager (for example apt-get or emerge) and select StrigiApplet installation.
